Frances (Tanona) DiMeo, 87, passed away peacefully at 1:00pm on August 27, 2025, at home with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. Her husband, Frank DiMeo, Sr., died in 2013. She was baptized and married at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church before moving to Northern Virginia in 2016.

Born in Worcester, Frances was the 10th child of Walery and Amelia (Bujak) Tanona. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and retired from Allmerica Insurance Co. Frances is survived by her son Frank Jr.; daughter-in-law Ariana; precious granddaughter Arabella, who called her Babci; sister-in-law Ann Tanona, and countless nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 6th at 9:00am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Worcester. The Rite of Committal will then be held for 11:15am at St. Ann’s Cemetery, 73 Church St. Cranston, RI, with reception following at Antonio’s Trattoria, 1710 Cranston St. Calling Hours with Vigil will be Friday, September 5th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
