Frances Verdeau Barnette Taylor was born on November 30, 1937 at Olla, Louisiana to the union of her parents, Leroy Barnette and Audra Bonita Tannehill and she passed from this life on April 1, 2025 at her residence in Clarks.
Frances was an active member of the Banks Springs Baptist Church in Columbia. She lived for her kids and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Taylor; her parents and her sister, Bonnie Skains; her niece , Susie Conn and nephew Jason Conn.; brother-in-law: Bob Pardue (Betty) and sister-in-law: Ethel James.
Thankful for her life and surviving, are her daughter, Cindy Cook of Clarks; her grandchildren: Lee Scribner (Michelle), Tasha Townsend (Lee), Ayden Findley, Della Kay Bellmore, Gracelyn Bellmore, and Dana Guerrero; her great-grandchildren: Taylor Scribner (Carley), Karlie Townsend (Hunter), Jaron Townsend (Annabeth), Wilder Scribner, Levi Benefield, Mikey Pepper and Chris Pepper, Sister: Ruth Doffitt; brothers-in-law: Bill Taylor (Mary), Charles Taylor (Carolyn) Buddy James; and very special friend: Carolyn Coan; and host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday April 6,2025 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla. The Taylor Family will receive visitors on Saturday April 5, 2025 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Taylor, John Taylor, Jaron Townsend, Taylor Scribner, Ernest Guerrero, JR, Bobby Wayne Pardue.
Honorary pallbearers include Ayden Findley, Bo Russell.
