Timothy Craig Whistine was born on January 31, 1961, in DeRidder, Louisiana, to his parents, Almon and Claudia Sue Nolan Whistine. He passed away on December 11, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and another in Addiction Studies from Northwestern State University, as well as a bachelor's in theology from Indiana Bible College. He also completed a master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and was halfway through a doctorate in Education, specializing in community care, marriage, and family counseling, at Liberty University. He had been a licensed minister with the UPCI for over 40 years, pastoring churches in Dublin, TX, Sugartown, LA, and Clarks, LA, as well as evangelizing across most US states and beyond. Throughout his ministry, he helped countless individuals and families in their times of distress and adjustment.

He is preceded by Father Almon Whistine and Brother Terry Whistine.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Theresa Whistine; his daughter, Kristin Whistine; his mother, Sue Whistine; and his sister-in-law, Susan Whistine. Additional surviving family members include his nieces, Laura Droddy (and her husband Scott and son Noah) and Farah Meiners (and her husband Jeff); his father-in-law, Jack Heath (and his wife Joyce); his sister-in-law, Angie Tucker (and her husband Todd); and his nephew, Dakota Tucker (and his wife Joy and sons Jackson and Kohen).

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville, with Rev. Mark Christian, Rev. Eddie Tilley, Rev. Tommy Magee, Rev. Burton Ashworth, and Rev. DeWaun Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugartown Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 14th, from 1:15 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Rennie Haymon, Scott Droddy, Kade Mitchell, Dakota Tucker, Gentry Ashley, Kason Ashley, Josh Stanford, and Shane Tilley.
