Frances "Honey" Cora Tinsley, 104, of Greer, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was the wife of the late Leroy Tinsley and the daughter of the late Robert Lee Tate and Annie Batson Tate. Mrs. Tinsley, or Honey, as most everyone lovingly called her, worked in Textiles before retirement. She enjoyed sewing, fishing and garage sales. She loved spending time with family, friends, nieces and nephews. Her home was where her family and friends wanted to be. She always had food for everyone who stopped by. Honey is survived by her son, Doug Tinsley (Miriam); grandsons, James Tinsley, and John Tinsley (Catherine); great granddaughter, Amber Tinsley Guffey; nephews, Keith Tate (Saundra), and Terry Tate (Tammy); niece, Annette Cartee (Steve); and a host of great nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Margaret Tate Day, Robert Tate, Mary Alice Tate, and Alvin Tate; and Lloyd and Cora Batson Teaster, the couple who raised Honey. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Spartanburg Hwy. S., Lyman, SC 29365.
