Frances Irene "Fran" Trapuzzano, 88, of Morgantown, and formerly of Washington, PA and Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 3rd, 2024 at Morgantown Healthcare Center.
Fran was born December 27, 1935 in Beckley, a daughter of the late Denzil and Hester Mae Maxley Blake.
Survivors include her two sons, Anthony Aman Trapuzzano and Timothy Joseph Trapuzzano both of Washington, PA; a granddaughter, Nicole Trapuzzano; a brother, Denvil Lee Blake and his wife Janice of Beckley; several nieces and nephews; and her close friends and caregivers Vicky Lacy and Cathy Martin both of Morgantown..
In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her former husband Aman Joseph Trapuzzano; and three siblings, Ernie, Bobby, and Shirley.
For more than 32 years, Fran was the owner of Professional Uniforms with locations in Morgantown, Fairmont, and Washington, PA, retiring in 2008. She also worked for Morgantown Healthcare Center (formerly Stonerise and Mapleshire Nursing Home) for eight years and was very well loved there by the staff and residents. She was most proud of her volunteer work with the Ronald McDonald House where she served on its board of directors and as volunteer coordinator.
She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City, and was an avid golfer. and flower gardener.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, July 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Star City with Father Gary Naegele as celebrant, followed by inurnment at St. Mary Peace Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Fran's memory to the Social Committee at St. Mary Church.
Fran's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Morgantown Healthcare Center for the love and care that they provided during her illness.
