He was born on August 16, 1939, in Merì, Italy, to Giuseppe and Maria Antonia (Merulla) Coppolino. Frank lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to family, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for his heritage.
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Venera Coppolino and the devoted father of Giuseppe “Joe” (Yvonne) Coppolino, Maria (Leonard) Mergler, and John Coppolino. He was a proud grandfather to Nicola (Courtney) Coppolino, Daniela Coppolino, Joshua (Hailey) Mergler, Giovanni (Emily) Mergler, and Giuliano Coppolino. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren Quinn Coppolino and Hailey Mergler. He was also preceded in death by his brother Pasquale Coppolino and sister-in-law Giovanna “Joanna” Lumbaca.
A man of remarkable skill and tireless work ethic, Frank was known for his talent in remodeling and building. Whether laying tile with precision or transforming a space with his hands, he approached every project with pride and care. His craftsmanship left a lasting mark not only on the homes he worked on but also on those who had the privilege of learning from him.
Frank found joy in the simple pleasures of life—solving Italian crosswords with quiet focus or gathering around a table with friends and family to share stories over glasses of wine. He had an infectious sense of humor and loved telling jokes that brought laughter to any room. Conversations with Frank often turned into rich storytelling sessions as he recounted his time in the Italian army or reflected on life’s lessons with wisdom and warmth.
Above all else, Frank deeply loved his family and always wanted the best for each one of them. His presence at family gatherings was a source of strength and joy—a steady reminder of love rooted in tradition and resilience.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire generations to come. A Graveside Service will be held on October 10, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio, 43035.
