Francien (Fran) Patricia Chaney (nee Curro), age 74, longtime resident of Glendale, WI, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at Horizon's Lawlis Family Ho,spice in Mequon, WI. Fran was born on March 17, 1951, toSteven Angelo Curroand Connie Rose Curro (nee DiStefano), both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Robert Alexander Chaney. Fran is also survived by her two children, Stephanie Angela Casey (Mat Mullahy) and Sean Duane Casey; beloved granddaughter Maureen Joy ("Mojo") Mullahy; stepsons Alex and Nick Chaney; siblings (and spouses) Steven Thomas Curro (Joelle), Jodie Curro Heinrich (Stephen), and James John Curro (Elizabeth Sharp); dear uncle and aunt, Anthony Curro and wife Joanne Curro; a sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law; and several nieces/nephews, great-nieces/nephews, cousins, and dear friends. While small in stature, most who knew Fran well would describe her as "tiny but mighty." An avid walker and skater, Fran could often be seen enjoying the scenic Oak Leaf Trail, embracing the outdoors she loved. Also a talented and generous artist, Fran gifted many of her works to family and friends throughout her life. She treasured her annual St. Paddy's Day pub crawls on Milwaukee's East Side with family and friends, celebrating joyfully on her birthday (and on other occasions as well!). Not only did Fran have a passion for enjoying time with those she loved, she was also a dedicated worker and an appreciated colleague at a variety of positions she held throughout her life. Most recently Fran enjoyed several years of employment at Pick 'n Save in Glendale. Fran's warmth, creativity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Fran's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or to another charity of one's choice. Aprivate family gathering has been held to celebrate Fran's life.
