Francine K. Baker, age 70, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at her home.
Fran was born April 1, 1954 in Manistique, MI, the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Winters) Tracy.
She attended and graduated from Manistique Area Schools and furthered her education at Bay de Noc Community College. She was united in marriage to John Earl Baker, Sr. on November 10, 1973 at Bethel Baptist Church. Fran put her Associate's in Science in Secretarial Science to work and was a secretary for Bank of America.
Fran was a member of the Church of the Later Day Saints. She was a founding member of the Lioness in Rapid River and was vital in the community health tech of the Sault tribe.
Fran enjoyed painting, knitting, fishing and spending time with her beloved dog and family.
Fran is survived by:
Sons: Jesse James Baker, John Paul Baker, John Baker Jr. and Jerry Baker
Brother: William Tracy
Sisters: Paulette Biffert, Carla Smith, Betty Tracy, and Susan Thomas
Grandchildren: Cady Baker and Cameron Baker
Great Grandchildren: Robert Baker, Raren Baker and Nyla Baker
In addition to her Parents and Husband, John Earl Baker, Sr., Fran is preceded in death by a Son, Jimmy Baker and Brother, Randy Tracy and Sister, Martha Snyder.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Doyle Township Hall in Gulliver, Michigan starting at noon. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Bates Corner Bar and Grill (Outdoor Stage) W16431 US Hwy 2, Gould City, Michigan starting at Noon. Guests are encouraged to bring a dish to pass. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
