Francine Ryan

Francine "Fran" Ann Ryan passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23rd, 2026. She was born on September 19th, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa. Fran grew up in West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School in 1978.

Fran shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Luna, who brought her constant companionship and comfort. Fran had a love for music and animals. Her friends and family were very important to her. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Maureen Kluender, Colleen Knott, Joseph Ryan, Patricia (Steven) Probst, Shannon Ryan and her cousins Craig and Mary Kinsella. She was a cherished aunt to her niece and nephews: Katey (Tom) Spicer, Amy (Todd) Esbeck, Sarah (Bradley) Van Alst, Ben (Allie) Probst, and Matthew Probst. She is also survived by her great nieces Briella Esbeck, Mya Esbeck, and great nephews Levi Spicer, Graham Spicer and George Van Alst. She was preceded by her parents, Joyce and Joseph Ryan as well as her sister, Kathleen Ryan - who she loved very much.

Our family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Iowa Home Care for their many years of compassionate support and dedicated care for Fran. Their kindness and commitment meant so much to her and to our family.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved. May eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

A private memorial service and burial will be held for family.
