Frank Anders, born on August 30, 1948, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m. Frank was a resident of
Mt. Dora, Florida, where he embraced life on and around Lake Dora, the lake he loved most on the Harris Chain.
A Navy veteran, Frank served proudly as a Navy Hospital Corpsman before earning his degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Throughout his life, he pursued every passion with energy and curiosity. He was a certificated pilot, a lifelong motorcyclist, a sailor, and a dedicated ham radio operator. Whatever captured his interest, Frank learned deeply, built skillfully, and shared generously. His many hobbies weren't just pastimes-they were avenues for connection, discovery, and joy.
Frank lived life to the fullest. Whether flying, boating, riding, or reaching out across the airwaves, he brought enthusiasm, craftsmanship, and a spirit of friendship to everything he touched. In the amateur radio community, he was known as KK4MBX, a warm and steady presence whose leadership and dedication made a lasting impact. His service with the Lake Amateur Radio Association, including his years as President, exemplified his commitment to helping others, teaching newcomers, and strengthening community. He also gave his time to the AGAPE House Food Pantry in Eustis, quietly reflecting his lifelong belief in service and generosity.
Above all his accomplishments, Frank was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Marsha. Their bond was built on mutual respect, deep affection, and countless shared adventures-on the water, across the skies, and throughout their everyday life. His love for her was constant, steady, and evident to all who knew them.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Grace Joan Andzejewicz, who instilled in him the values of hard work, service, and curiosity that guided his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; his sons, Tim and Gary Anders; and his two bonus daughters, Jennifer and Caroline. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: granddaughters Kaitlyn, Megan, Morgan, Madison, Makayla, Marissa, and Catharine; grandsons Ian and Canaan-each of whom brought him immense pride, joy, and stories he loved to share.
Frank leaves behind family and friends who will forever remember his adventurous spirit, his kindness, his humor, and his boundless enthusiasm for the world around him. His legacy lives on in the skies he once flew, the waves he sailed, the rides he took, and the countless connections he made-on the radio and in life.
The family is planning an ash placement on Lake Dora in the spring of 2026, a place Frank cherished deeply and considered home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations of food be made to a local food pantry, a tribute that reflects Frank's generous spirit and his dedication to helping others.
