Francis Angelicola Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home - Waterbury on Mar. 4, 2025.
WATERBURY, CT
Francis (Francisco) A. Angelicola
"Loving father, grandfather & great grandfather"
Francis Anthony Angelicola, 93, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving widower of Petrina (Lombardo) Angelicola who passed away in 2022.
Francis (Frank) was born in Waterbury on July 23, 1931, a son of the late Nicola and Lucia (Jacaruso) Angelicola. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Frank worked for Bozzuto's Candy in Waterbury for many years before starting his own vending business company in Waterbury. After his retirement, Frank and his wife Patty enjoyed heading out almost every day for long drives north to see the small towns, local sites, and to have some lunch. He especially enjoyed Stockbridge, Mass and was a big collector of Norman Rockwell. He enjoyed watching all the old-time movies on Turner Classics, particularly westerns, working in his garden, but most of all he enjoyed going to garage and estate sales. He made many friends along his travels and was best known in his blue dickies and white t-shirt.
He leaves his two children: Rosanne Jozwik and her husband John of Burlington and Frank Angelicola and his wife Dana of Wolcott; his four loving grandchildren: Petrina Soulier and her husband Tyler, John Jozwik, Katarina McKenna and her husband John, and Richard Velez and his wife Kassie; and three great grandchildren: Isabella, Juliette and Wesley. He is survived by one sister-in-law Bernice Hertel. He was predeceased by his brothers, Mike, Tony and Nick, as well as his sisters, Janet, Angie and Rosemarie.
Arrangements: A funeral for Francis will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. Michael's Church, 62 St. Michael's Drive, Waterbury for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mt.
