Francis was born in Worcester, son of the late Pasquale & Angelina (Antinarella) Ciuffreda. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Fran enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged as an Airman Second Class following four years of service. He returned home safely to begin his rewarding lifelong career as a social worker. For thirty years Fran dedicated himself as an advocate for all, with focus on caring for juveniles, the elderly, veterans, and those in need. Well respected in his field, he held positions with the Lyman School, Commonwealth of MA-Dept. of Elder Services, and most notably, as founder of Patch School for Aftercare and Center for Children. Following retirement, Fran contributed as an author and served as Vice President for the Robb Report Magazine.

He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and advocate.

The Ciuffreda family would like to extend their thanks to the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their care and kindness.
