Francis "Frank" X Eccles passed away peacefully surrounded by family at age 70, on October 12, 2024, resided in Broomall, PA, formerly of Clifton Heights, PA.
Frank was a devoted family man, spending countless weekends cheering on his 14 grandchildren at their various activities. His love for his family was evident in every moment he shared with them.
An avid outdoorsman, Frank found joy in hunting, fishing, and hiking throughout the beautiful landscapes of Potter County. He also had a deep love for Penn State, often sharing that passion with his family, attending games, and celebrating the spirit of the Nittany Lions.
Traveling with his beloved wife, Catherine, Frank created lasting memories on their once-in-a-lifetime trips. Their journeys together were a testament to their enduring love and shared passion for exploration.
Predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth (nee Broadbent) and Francis X. Eccles.
Survived by his wife of 32 years, Catherine (nee Glavin) Eccles, his children, Kelly Lang (Andrew), Frank Eccles, Amy Maraini (Dan), Christopher Eccles (Laura), John McCormick (Jeanine), Katie Maxwell (Sean), and Colleen Eccles, his 14 grandchildren, and his siblings, Jack (Ann), Cathy Sachs (Don), and Christine Mingey (Mark).
Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Friday evening, October 18th 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. On Saturday morning, October 19th Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at Saint Anastasia Roman Catholic Church 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
Contributions in Frank's memory may be made to East Fork Sportsman's Club, 1107 E. Fork Rd., Austin, PA 16720.
