BATH: Francis A. "Franny" Eldridge, 73, of Babcock Hollow Rd. passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira, following a brief illness.

Franny was born December 23,1952 in Corning to the late Floyd W. and Barbara M. (Drehmer) Eldridge. On September 25,1976 in Avoca, he married the former Karen Rawleigh who survives and resides in Bath.

He worked for 42 years at the former Ingersoll and Dresser Rands, retiring as an inspector from Siemens Energy, Inc. of Painted Post. Franny was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. One of his greatest passions was woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren who met the world to him.

In addition to his wife Karen, he is survived by two daughters, Diane (Scott) Stone of Bath and Barbara Gipson (Robert Freeman) also of Bath. Grandchildren, Joshua, Krystina, Tyler and Dodge Stone, Shane Gipson, Francis Symonds, Robert, Alisa, Anthony and Mckayla Freeman. Great grandchildren Cherokie Stone, Auguset Washington, Tyler Stone, Jr. Brooklynn Stone and Damien Gascon.

Franny is also survived by siblings, James (Patricia) Eldridge, Floyd (Susan) Eldridge, Keith Eldridge, Jan Crane, Bonnie Jean Padgett, Eva Cotton, Carol (Kenneth) Allen and Ethel Brown, sister-in-law Sharon Eldridge and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Stanley, Perry and Ralph Eldridge.

There will be no calling hours or service. A celebration of Franny's life will take place Sunday, January 25th from 1-5 pm at the Bath Fire Department.
