Mr. Francis (Frank) Myers, 89, quietly departed this world on Monday, November 20, 2023. Born on April 6, 1934, in Jenkins Jones, WVA, to the late Charles Myers and Beulah Myers, Frank grew up in a home in his beloved West Virginia mountains. There, he met and married the love of his life, Ruth Harris Myers. They began their new life together in North Carolina.
Frank was a hard-working, dedicated family, and church man, consistently striving to provide a safe and caring home for Ruth and their daughter, Becky. After serving in the US Army, he worked for many years at Carolina Springs in High Point, NC, and then pursued a business as a realtor and general contractor, owning his own business.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ruth Harris Myers; daughter, Becky Myers; grandson, Dustin Free; and great-grandchildren, Adora, Dustin Jr., and Charlotte Free.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private graveside service for the family will be held at Enterprise Moravian Church Graveyard following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pastors Pantry of Davidson County at 307 N State St, Lexington, NC 27292, or to Hospice of Davidson County: https://hospice-of-davidson-county-north-carolina-inc.networkforgood.com/projects/16219-support-hospice-of-davidson-county.
