A Bardstown resident, Mr. Francis Irvin Rogers, age 84, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was born October 10, 1940 in Bardstown to the late John and Elsie Cecil Rogers. Irvin was a retired employee of Rose Construction and after retirement, he worked at Dollar General. He was also a former employee of General Electric and enjoyed helping with Kentucky Pork Producers. He was a United States Army veteran, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Post 121. Irvin loved gardening, fishing and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Young Rogers, his son, Kevin Rogers (Cindy) of Culvertown, his daughter, Tonya Hutchins (Greg) of Boston, 2 grandchildren, Cheyenne Hutchins (Rebecca) of Culvertown, Dakota Hutchins (Mary Kate) of Manton, 2 great grandchildren, Skylar and Colton Hutchins, and his brother, Keith Rogers (Ruth) of Bardstown. Visitation for Mr. Francis Irvin Rogers will be 4:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. An American Legion service will be Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will be in The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
