Francis M. Ruscio, age 70 years, of Plymouth, died Sunday, April 16, 2023 At the Beth Israel - Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. He was the loving husband of the late Donna M. (Pendergraph) Ruscio, and the son of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth (Sammarco) Ruscio. Born on July 13, 1952 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he was raised and educated in Dorchester and Hanover before moving to Plymouth in Later years. He attended the Mather school, Grover Cleveland Junior High School, and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1970. Frank worked in management for most of his career in the restaurant industry. He worked as a manager at Friendly's Ice Cream in Dedham, and Arby's Restaurant in Dorchester. A long-time member and Past President of the Quincy Sons of Italy, Frank had a great love for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking, as well as teaching his grandchildren to cook, cars, his dogs, fishing and watching sports. He was a great fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He kept a vegetable garden and would love to take his sons and grandsons to local car shows, especially visits to the Cape Cod Mustang Club, in his 2014 Black Mustang GT. He was an avid fan of classical rock music.
Frank will be sadly missed by his children, Francis M. Ruscio Jr. and his wife Maribeth of Plymouth, Anthony P. Ruscio of Cambridge, Lisa M. Driscoll and her husband James of Plymouth and Danielle Ruscio-Keating and her husband Christopher of Hanson, his brother Anthony Ruscio and his wife Maria of South Weymouth, and his sisters Catherine Ruscio and her husband Pasquale of Weymouth and Theresa Beckwith and her husband Andy of South Weymouth. He also leaves his grandchildren Michael, Hayley, Juliana, Ava, Isabella, Nolan, Finnlan and Porter. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
His funeral will be held from the CARTMELL-DAVIS LIFE CELEBRATION FUNERAL HOME, 373 Court Street, Plymouth (next to Cordage Park) on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 9:00AM, followed by a funeral mass at St. Peter's Church, Plymouth at 10:00AM. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth. Visitation with the Ruscio family will be on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the funeral home from 5:00PM – 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at www.nationalbreastcancer.org
