Francisca Villanueva Almance, a beloved matriarch, cherished mother, and devoted grandmother, peacefully departed this life on November 6, 2025, in Fort Stockton, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on November 26, 1936, in the serene town of Ojinaga, Mexico, Francisca was a beacon of love and warmth, known for her nurturing spirit and vivacious personality.
Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of compassion, joy, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Francisca found deep fulfillment in her passions, including her love for gardening, where her flowers flourished under her attentive care, much like her family did. She delighted in baking and cooking, often gathering her loved ones together around a table filled with delicious home-cooked meals—a testament to her belief that family and food were intertwined in celebration and connection. Her skilled hands also created warmth through sewing, creating not only functional items but also cherished keepsakes that held stories within their stitches.
Francisca's true treasures were her family and grandchildren. She took immense pride in her children, Carolina Catano and Conrado Almance, Jr., and they carried forward the love and traditions she instilled in them. Her grandchildren—Elizabeth, Ed Ray, and Eliana—were the apples of her eye, and she reveled in watching them grow, offering a steady presence and sage advice enriched by her own life experiences. The joy continued with her great-grandchildren, Maggie and Gael, who brightened her later years, bringing laughter and love into her home.
Her lineage was also colored by the memories of her dear parents, Jesus and Dolores Villanueva, who cultivated her strength and resilience. Francisca was preceded in death by her brother, Jesus Villanueva, and her sisters, Maria del Socorro Madrid and Dolores C. Villanueva, with whom she shared innumerable cherished moments that shaped her essence.
As we celebrate Francisca’s remarkable life, we are reminded of her irrepressible spirit, her laughter that could light up the darkest days, and her unwavering support that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she loved. Though she has moved on from this world, the legacy she leaves behind is one of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She will be profoundly missed, but her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
