Francisca (Frances) Villarreal Marin

Frances Marin, 92, of Platteville died Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Pelican Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Windsor.

She was born October 4,1933, in Dewitt County, Texas to Juan and Francisca (Suniga) Villarreal in Yorktown, Texas.

On August 24,1953, she married Raymond Marin in Yorktown, Texas.

Mrs. Marin made her living as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She had a passion for gambling in Blackhawk and Central City. Frances also enjoyed playing Bingo while at Pelican Pointe. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors are three daughters, Erma (Eddie) Almos of Lamesa, Texas, Soila (Manuel) Garza of Evans, and Nora (Joe) Sanchez of Nolanville, Texas; three sons, Ken (Rhonda) of Greeley, Robert (Dani) of Washington, Illinois and Ray Jr. (Brenda) of Phoenix, Arizona; 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Granddaughters.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a son Jimmy and a sister Juanita.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday October 16, at Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday October 17, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Platteville. Interment will be in Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville.
