Nació en El Salvador. Debido a problemas de salud, sus padres biológicos no pudieron cuidarla, por lo que fue acogida y criada por su tío Guillermo Rivera y su esposa María Luisa Gómez. Creció rodeada de familiares y amigos. Se casó y tuvo dos preciosos hijos que le regalaron cuatro nietos. Fue madre soltera quien lucho y se sacrifico por darles la mejor vida posible a sus hijos. Trabajó como comerciante y microempresaria de comida típica. Emigró hacia los Estados Unidos para cuidar de su familia, viviendo como ama de casa, cuidadora y mentora.
Luchó con valentía, fuerza y perseverancia hasta el último día de su vida.
