Francisco "Frank" Duran, 96, passed away April 15, 2025, surrounded by family. Born December 10, 1928, he was a lifelong resident of El Paso and graduated from El Paso Technical High School. Frank served his country as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. After honorable discharge from the military, he went to work as a printer for the El Paso Times until 1998, a job to which gave his best effort and dedication, retiring after 46 years. One of the mottos he applied to his work and personal lives was "if you're not going to do the job right, then don't do it at all." He enjoyed spending time with family, working on home projects, eating good food, playing golf and watching Dallas Cowboys games. Frank was a loving, caring husband, father, brother and uncle, survived by his wife 35 years Elvia and his son James. He is also survived by his brothers Efrain and Enrique, sisters Esther and Sara, in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Conrado Sr. and Librada Duran, brothers Conrado Jr. and Alfredo, and sisters Matilde and Lucy.
