Francisco R. Escalante Jr. was called to be with our Lord and Savior on November 12, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. Francisco "Hatari" Escalante Jr. was born in Pleasanton, Texas on August 16, 1946 to Francisco Escalante M. Sr. and Margarita Rodriquez Escalante.

Frank was a good hearted, caring, generous, humble, hardworking man along with being an amazing husband, father, and grandfather to his family. Frank graduated from Pleasanton HS in 1966. He had many outstanding and memorable achievements including a member/worker of "United Brotherhood of Carpenters", Bexar County Constable, and councilmen of Pleasanton (2 terms). While being an unforgettable member of the community and St. Andrew's Catholic Church until his passing. Frank worked at Hurley Auto Parts for 20+ years and all knew him as "vato" while touching many hearts until he retired. Frank will be missed and remembered for his legacy he left behind.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. And Margarita Escalante.

Frank is survived by wife of 53 years, Ramona Martinez Escalante; his three sons, Joe Pacheco, Frank (Frankie) Escalante III and James Escalante; grandchildren, James II, Rayven, Devin, Avean, Jazmine and Azmerija Escalante, Anthony, Katherine, Kassandra and Raymond Pacheco; as well as many great-grandchildren; along with his brother, Joe Raymond (Janie) Escalante; and niece, Luisa Garcia.

Funeral services are as follows: Friday, November 21, 2025, starting with a rosary at 10:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home followed by mass service at 11:00 am at St. Andrew Church Catholic Church in Pleasanton, Texas with interment to follow at Sotelo Cemetery.
