Fransisco Jesus Martinez, age 48, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on January 18, 1977, in Joliet, Illinois.
Known lovingly as Franky, he was a man with a truly good soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. A dedicated outdoorsman, Franky found his greatest happiness on the ranch-tending to the land, caring for his horses, and embracing the quiet beauty of nature. He cherished time spent with family and friends and lived his life with a steady spirit and a deep appreciation for the simple things.
Franky's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His kindness, calm presence, and unwavering love for those around him will be remembered always.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Maria Julia Martinez.
Franky is survived by his father, Enrique M. Martinez; his brother, Enrique Martinez Jr.; and his cherished nephews, Enrique Nolan Martinez and Eduardo Gael Martinez, along with many other loving family members and friends.
May Franky find eternal green pastures and everlasting peace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois. A chapel service will take place at 6:30 p.m. with Father Emilio Rodriguez officiating. Cremation rites will follow in accordance.
