Francisco Martinez Obituary
Francisco retired from Fermilab after many years of dedicated service. After retirement he opened Chihuhua Grocery Store and operated for 20 years before full retiring. He had a passion for gardening but above all else, he adored his family and enjoyed time spent together.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Petra; children, Francisca (Jose) Gutierrez, Marcos Martinez, Ruben Martinez and Monica (Jesus) Valdes. He is also survived by many grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Therese Catholic Church 271 N. Farnsworth Ave. Aurora, IL 60505. Burial will follow at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
