Francisco “Frank” Perez, age 59, passed away on September 13, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois. Born on February 10, 1966, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Frank brought warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
Frank was a devoted father to his daughters Jennifer Perez and Jessica Perez, and a proud grandfather to Janiah Robles. He shared many years of life and family with Sonia Torres, the mother of his children. He also embraced his extended family with open arms, including his step-daughter Maritza Morales and step-son Francisco Santiago and step-grandsons Francisco Jordan Santiago and Kendry Santiago.
Known for his vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor, Frank had a gift for making people laugh. His silly nature and good spirit left lasting impressions on everyone he met. Whether it was through a joke or a warm smile, he had a way of lifting spirits and bringing joy into any room.
Frank had a deep love for sports—especially when it came to cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs and Bears. Game days were sacred moments filled with passion and pride. He also found great joy in cooking; his culinary skills were admired by many who were lucky enough to enjoy one of his meals. Whether preparing a feast for family or simply experimenting in the kitchen, Frank’s food was always made with heart.
He took pride in caring for his home—tending to the yard with dedication and looking after the family dogs with affection. Country music often filled the background of his days, providing a soundtrack to moments both big and small. In quieter times, he found comfort and strength in reading the Bible.
Frank’s legacy is one of love—for family, for life’s simple pleasures, and for spreading happiness wherever he went. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him. A Visitation will be held on September 25, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Fullerton Funeral Home located at 5735 W. Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.
