Francisco Senato Taday, Jr. was born in Baguio City, Philippines on May 3, 1952 to Maria Concepcion Taday and Francisco P. Taday Sr. and passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 66.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Taday, and sons, Francis (D'annah), Alex, Francis Ian and Jason Carnine. Four grandchildren; Hailey, Caleb, Logan and Sebastian. A sister, Beatriz Taday, nieces and nephews, Giselle (George) DeGuzman, Gem (Brian) Obermiller, Jinx Aggabao, Ritchie (Kali) Sarzona, April Sarzona and Bea Taday. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Ferdinand Taday, mother, Maria Taday, father, Francisco Taday Sr. and sisters, Gloria Aggabao and Rosario Sarzona.

Frank or Franco, to his friends and family, joined the United States Navy on July 28, 1975 and was enlisted in the USS Piedmont AD-17 as a Machinist. On October 1979, he joined the USS Missouri BB-63 as Chief Machinist and Navy Recruiter and was awarded a Humanitarian Service Medal. From November 1985 to August 1999, he enlisted with the USS Constellation CV-64 as a Systems Technician. At the USS Constellation he received the following awards: Fifth Good Conduct Award, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (7th), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2nd), Navy "E" Ribbon (2nd), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd), Meritorious Unit Commendation and the National Defense Service Medal. He was also stationed in Kuwait and participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

On September 1999 he was honorably discharged and transferred to Fleet Reserve. Soon after, Frank worked for different companies including Granite Services Inc., Milgard Windows and Aera Energy. He officially retired in December 2017 and mostly devoted his time with his wife and sons.

Frank is described as humble, reliable and extremely generous with a contagious laugh and smile. He was a hard worker, a dedicated engineer and a true Patriot who served our country. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, his dog Moose and all who knew him. The family is extremely grateful for all the comforting messages and support during this difficult time. A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 401 West Channel Islands Blvd, Oxnard, CA from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018. A visitation and funeral service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel on Saturday, December 1, 2018 starting at 11 a.m. Reception will immediately follow in the same place.

Frank will be cremated at a later date to be attended by immediate family members only. .
