Frank Accettura, Jr., age 89, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. Born on November 22, 1936, Frank lived a long and generous life grounded in family, and community.
Frank graduated from Harrison Technical High School in 1955, later attending Wilbur Wright Junior College, where he began charting the path that would guide his lifelong career. He spent his professional years working as an Engineer and Manager at ARI Industries, Hirsh Industries, UNR Leavitt and Sampson Roll Forming, where he was known for his integrity, dedication, and steady kindness.
Frank and his wife, Karin (Reinhardt) Accettura, made their home in Elmwood Park, Illinois, where they resided for 62 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Karin; his children Daniel (Sarah) Accettura and Kimberly Accettura; and his cherished grandchildren Abigail (Monica) Busser-Accettura, Rebecca Accettura, Owen Wozniak, and Vada Wozniak. His family was the great joy of his life, and he was endlessly proud of each of them.
Services will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines (Mausoleum Chapel) on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:30AM. A luncheon will follow at Elmcrest Banquets (formerly Biancalana's) in Elmwood Park, where family and friends are invited to share memories and celebrate Frank's life.
Frank will be remembered for his gentleness, his humor, and the deep love he carried for those closest to him. His presence will be profoundly missed, and his legacy will live on in the family he adored.
