Dorothy Brzozowski Kubala, a resident of Central Baptist Village, Norridge, IL, died 11/12/2025.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. She married Alfred F. Brzozowski (deceased 1968) and they had four children; Robert Brzozowski (deceased 1996), Cindy Brzozowski Rohlfing, Lori Brzozowski Marchi and Caryn Brzozowski. She has seven grandchildren (Amy Rohlfing, Ellen Rohlfing Williams, Scott Marchi, Ben Marchi, Ryan Fitzsimmons, Sean Fitzsimmons and Alina Sweeney) and four great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren were a source of great joy for Dorothy. She is survived by her sister, Carol Jeanne Kubala.

Dorothy married Roman (Bob) Kubala (deceased 1996) and they spent many happy years together in Glenview, Illinois where Dorothy worked for Walgreen drugs for more than 25 years in the cosmetics department.

Dorothy was an avid seamstress and crafter. Her creativity was talent was evidenced by her many home projects. She was known for her creative sewing of Halloween costumes and for making multiple formal dresses for her daughters. She was always eager to try a new craft and took up ceramic painting in her 90's. Bob and Dorothy were active members in the Glenview Square Dancing club where she sewed all their costumes for traveling performances and events. Bob and Dorothy were members of the Catholic Church and she volunteered as a reader at church services and lead a rosary group while a resident of Brookdale Senior Living in Oak Park.

Dorothy was known to all for her smile, warm greetings and quick wit. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral mass at St. Lukes Parish, 7600 West Lake Street, River Forest, will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 11:00 AM. A visitation at the church will precede the service at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (Formerly JDRF) or the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund.
