Roland Todd Kubala was born on June 11, 1970, in DeRidder, Louisiana to the late Ronald Kubala Sr. and Sammie Kubala. On September 1, 2025, Roland left this world and entered his eternal home in Heaven, rejoicing in the presence of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, sitting peacefully in his favorite recliner at home.
Roland's life was a reflection of his faith. He was a man of strength, compassion, and generosity, known for his tireless work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His love for Jesus was evident in the way he lived - devoted to his family, steadfast in his work, and unshakable in his kindness. Roland dedicated much of his life to the railroad, where he worked as a conductor with diligence and joy. He was dependable and always on time. At home, he took immense pride in his yard. A natural builder and fixer, there was nothing he couldn't craft with his hands. If it was broken, he'd fix it. If it didn't exist, he'd build it. But more than his talents, it was his heart that left the deepest impact. He had a true servant's spirit-always the first to show up, lend a hand, or give what he had without expecting anything in return. Quick-witted and full of one-liners, he kept those around him laughing with his dry humor. One of his greatest joys was found in the kitchen cooking for his family. His love for his grandchildren was deep and unwavering.
He is joyfully reunited in Heaven with his son, Taylor Calvary Kubala; father, Ronald Gene Kubala Sr.; and sister, Joanie Kaye Kubala.
Roland leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his beloved and devoted wife, Rita; mother, Sammie; brother, Ron (Andra); sister, Julie (Darryl); mother-in-law, Carol Olson; sisters-in-law, Anita (Clyde), Mary, and Brenda; brothers-in-law, Richard and Bryan; his children, Jasper. Tyler, Dallas, Bethany, Desiree, and Austin; and a host of precious grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Roland's legacy is one of faith, hard work, love, and sacrifice. To know him was to witness Christ's love in action. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide those he leaves behind.
"Well done good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
