Nicholaos Poulopoulos, passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 97, after a healthy, happy, and beautiful life well lived. His life was full of love, kindness, laughter, and cherished memories.

Niko was a devoted husband and partner for over 58 years to his beloved wife, Helen Poulopoulos.
Cherished son of late Athanasios and Vasiliki Poulopoulos, the last living and loving brother to Dimitrios Poulopoulos, Vasillios (Connie) Poulopoulos, Panagiotis (Afroditi) Poulopoulos.

Niko is survived by his beautiful wife Helen, his nieces and nephews, Vicky Bakouros, Toula Poulopoulos, Tammy (Joe) DiGioia, and Tom (Kathy) Poulopoulos. His great-nieces and nephews, who referred to him as Papou Niko - Panagiotis, Kiki, Rosalia, Michael, Will, Olivia, and Alexander. Also, friends that became family throughout the years.

Niko immigrated to Chicago from Asea, Greece, never forgetting his roots and love for his village. He served as President for many years to the Chicago Chapter of the Village of Asea, a valued member of the Demovaltetsi Association, The Panarcadian Federation, as well as the local AHEPA. Niko, with his eloquent writing, contributed to multiple publications such as Asea Newspaper and the Municipality of Valtetsi. He continued his writing up until last month, keeping his fellow patriots informed on all the news happening in Chicago and the surrounding areas.

He was a man of faith and touched the lives of so many people with his kindness and generosity. Niko will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Helen has asked in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nicholaos Poulopoulos memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause dear to their heart
