Frank Almanza Jr., 86, died February 21, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born July, 23, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Francisco and Felis (Ponce) Almanza.
After his high school graduation, Frank joined the United States Navy. He worked as a correctional officer for the Kansas Department of Corrections in Hutchinson, he retired after 28 years of service.
Frank enjoyed playing golf, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson.
On March 19, 1965, he married the love of his life, Rumaldita 'Romey' Serna, in Albuquerque, NM. They shared over 58 years of marriage.
Frank is survived by: his loving wife, Romey Almanza of Hutchinson; sons, Daniel (Katherine) Almanza of Lawrence, KS, and Christopher (Ying) Almanza of Winfield, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters.
