Phillip Almanza Jr., of Alvarado, Texas, passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on January 7, 1948, in Rotan, Texas, to the late Felipes Almanza and Placida Ortega.
Phillip was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather whose quiet strength and selflessness touched everyone who knew him. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his children, always working hard to provide for them and offering unconditional love and support. Known for his kindness and generosity, he was always ready to help others and lived a life of patience and grace.
In his younger years, Phillip enjoyed golfing, and he remained a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, never missing the chance to watch them play on Sundays. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Phillip is survived by his daughters, Phelicia and her husband Ethan Werner, Phyllis and her husband Refugio Sanchez; his sons, Phillip and his wife Sherri Almanza, and Eddie Almanza; and his brother, Felix Almanza; his sister, Ida Wall. He was a proud grandfather to Jaylie, Layton, Jenson, Kylen, Ocean, Kissah, Samiah, and Harlah, all of whom brought light to his life.
He will be remembered for his steady love, his strength, and his unwavering dedication to his family. As he often said when parting, "See you later, Alligator."
