Frank Barker, 76, of Louisiana, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 12, 2025. Mr. Barker was born on November 29, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN to Josephine and James Barker. He was married to Dora Barker in 1965 and she preceded him in death on August 30, 2009. He is survived by 2 daughters Bonnie (Jesse) Ohnemus of Louisiana, MO and Aletha Barker of Louisiana, MO, 9 grandchildren Carlita Barker, Oscar Mendez, Yasmine Mata, Diego Mata, Morgan Barker, Dario Mata, Olivia Hase, Alejandro Mata, and Kevin Hase, 2 great grandchildren November Holman and Khalil Mendez, a brother Juell Barker of Arkansas, a sister Betty Galbreath, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his parents Josephine and James Barker, his wife Dora Barker, and siblings Carolyn Townsend, Annabelle Johnson, Lillian Johnson, and Alfred Barker. Mr. Barker will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. Frank enjoyed picking on his grandkids and spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing the guitar, walking, going fishing, hunting, and camping. He didn't know a stranger and was always happy to sit and talk. Over the years he was employed at Wayne B. Smith, Tamor Plastics, made and installed custom cabinets, and worked at Stark Bros. Nursery until his retirement. Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO will be provider of cremation rites. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Online condolences can be sent at collierfuneral.com.
