Leon James Reeves, 99, of Louisiana, MO, Passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. Fr. Henry Ussher will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Leon was born on August 9, 1926 in Redmondville, MO to Corbett Reeves and Lillie Lewis Reeves. He was married to Rita Pezold on July 2, 1954 in Ladue, MO and she preceded him in death on June 3, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Fern Lacy, Helen Reeves, Glenora Gibbons, Oran "Curly" Reeves, Val Fish, Mary Parker, and Maureen Reeves. He is survived by a son James D. Reeves (Cindy) of St. Charles, MO, a granddaughter Lydia Mackey (Ron) of Louisiana, MO, 3 great grandchildren Andrew Mackey, Patrick Wolff, and Kye Mackey, a brother Bud Reeves (Becky), brother in-law Johnny Parker, and a sister in-law Grace Reeves. Leon was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army. He had worked different jobs during his life, but his most enjoyable career was being a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post #5553 in Bowling Green, MO and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Louisiana, MO. Memorials may be made to the VFW Post #5553 in Bowling Green, MO.
