Eaudine "Deenie" H. (Johnson) Reeves, 99, of Sandwich formerly of Falmouth passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, after a period of failing health. Born in New Britain CT on July 15,1926, daughter of the late Carl and Hazel (Schwartz) Johnson, formerly of Portland CT. Deenie was the eldest of two children. Her brother Wesley was eight years younger and predeceased her in his mid-twenties.

Deenie graduated from Mineola (New York) High School in 1944 and went on to work for the accounting department of the New York Telegraph Company in Hempstead NY. During that time, she attended Hofstra College, now Hofstra University in Hempstead NY.

Deenie married James M. Reeves in June 1953 while Jim was in the US Air Force. They were married for 48 years until Jim's death in 2001. Prior to moving to Falmouth, they lived on Long Island NY, France, Germany, and North Carolina. Deenie and Jim made their home in East Falmouth MA in 1957 as Jim was stationed at Otis AFB.

Upon moving to Falmouth, Deenie was an active member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church of Falmouth where she was a member of the church choir up until her failing health. Deenie also worked as the Secretary of the First Congregational Church on the Village Green. She then went into banking and became Branch Manager of Security Federal Savings and Loan before retiring. After retirement Deenie volunteered at Falmouth Hospital's Gift Shop. In 1990 they moved to Sandwich MA where they had a new home built.

She is survived by her children, Caren (Reeves) Miller & husband Jack of Goshen MA, Craig Reeves and wife Jayne of E. Falmouth MA, Leslie (Reeves) LeBlanc and husband Kris of Sandwich MA along with her 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Beth (Reeves) Davis in 2016 and son-in-law Tom Davis in April 2005.

A special thanks to all the staff at JML Care Center in Falmouth MA, Attorney Lisa Mycock Kelly of Cape Cod Elder Law Associates, P.C. of Cotuit MA and Deenie's friend's and family's support through the years.

Services will take place on Friday, December 5th at 11:30AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne MA, where she will be laid to rest with her husband James Reeves. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:30PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Deenie's name made to JML Care Center, 184 Ter Heun Dr., Falmouth, MA 02540, John Wesley United Methodist Church, PO Box 696 Falmouth, MA 02541 or charity of one's choice.
