Frank Vincent Barrella, age 84, of Bayonne, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on April 22, 1941, Frank was the beloved son of the late Patricia ("Dolly") and Louis Barrella. He was the devoted husband of AnnMarie Barrella, with whom he shared 60 years of
marriage marked by deep love, enduring friendship, and steadfast partnership.
Frank was a proud graduate of St. Peter's College and dedicated his professional life to public service with the Internal Revenue Service. After his retirement, he continued to serve his community through his work at the Credit Union, where he was known and loved by many.
Frank had a curious mind and was an avid hobbyist and lifelong collector, always finding joy in discovering and preserving the stories that objects could tell. His passion for detail, his warm sense of humor, and his generosity of spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife AnnMarie, his son Frank Barrella of Myrtle Beach, SC, and his daughter, The Very Reverend Allison Burns-LaGreca, and her wife Lisa LaGreca of Stone
Harbor, NJ. He was a proud grandfather to Connor Patrick Burns and Daniel Joseph Burns, and a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Frank is also survived by his sisters, Camille Zampetti and Louise Prospero.
In keeping with his wishes, funeral services will be private and are under the direction of Migliaccio Funeral Home.
Frank's legacy of love, laughter, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

MaryAnn and I knew Frank from when we were kids. Frank and Ann were married the day before us, in Our Lady of Assumption, more than 60 years ago. Recently we shared a laugh-filled, semi-boisterous meal celebrating our anniversaries and our good fortunes in having grown old alongside our partners. Such is life. So sorry Ann, Frank and Allison.

I have know Frankie my whole life. We went to Assumption, Saint Peter's Prep, Bayonne High School and St. Peter's College. He was always there for me. We have remained friends our entire lives. I have fond memories of stickball games on 23rd Street, hanging our at K's on 20th Street and the Veritas Club on 21 Street. We played football together, went to the Apollo together every Saturday night in high school and even joined the Marines together. He was a loving father husband and friend. I will miss him forever.
