Thomas R. Barrella

Thomas R. Barrella, 70, of Bayville. NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he grew up in Metuchen, NJ, before settling in Bayville, NJ in 1983. Graduating from Metuchen High School class of 1971. He then went on to attend Middlesex County College and participated on the skiing team.
Tom was the Owner and Operator of THK Lawncare in Bayville, NJ. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and watching the NY Jets. When his children were younger, you could find him coaching and watching them participate in all of their sports. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and visiting his daughter and niece in San Diego, fedora in hand being dubbed 'vacation Tom'.
He is reunited in heaven with his parents Joseph and Alison (McNeill) Barrella. Tom will be forever held and cherished in the hearts of his loving family, his wife of 41 years Katherine (Everett) Barrella, son Thomas Barrella and his significant other Heather Rorvick, daughter Hilary Barrella-Lampe and her husband Joe, daughter Krista Barrella and her significant other Geoffrey Davis; brother Joseph Barella and his wife Karen, sister Lorraine Barrella, sister Christine LeCompte and her husband Tom, and brother John Barrella and his wife Laura, as well as two grandchildren he adored, Amelia and Joseph Lampe and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.carmonabolenfh.com.
