Mary Ellen Zimbardo

Mary Ellen Zimbardo, 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Born in Long Branch, NJ, she lived in Neptune, NJ, before settling in Toms River, NJ over 52 years ago.
She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River, NJ, and a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend to all who knew her.
Mary Ellen is reunited in Heaven with her parents Edward and Kathryn (Farry) Wood, her brother Charles Wood, her brother-in-law Thomas Lynch Sr., and her son-in-law Joseph Hozella.
She will be forever held and cherished in the hearts of her loving family: her husband of 65 years Vincent Zimbardo, daughter Kathryn Grace, daughter Janice Hozella, daughter Cheryl and her husband Richard Collot, her sister Kathleen Lynch, five grandchildren: Daniel, Kaitlyn, Haley, Nathan, and Matthew, as well as one great-grandson Sebastian.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 2pm to 6pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10am at St. Joseph RC Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ.
