Frank Belinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Butterfield Home and Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services on Feb. 5, 2026.
Frank Joseph Belinski Sr. 81 of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday January 28, 2026 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on March 18, 1944 In Centralia, Illinois at St. Mary's Hospital, he was the son of the late Frank W. and Hattie Belinski. He grew up in Illinois and Missouri and after graduating high school, he joined the Navy. While stationed in Rhode Island, he met his wife Sandra and after getting married they had two children together. After the Navy, he worked for many years as a troubleshooting technician for a commercial cooking equipment company. While he was on the job, he was severely injured and spent many years recovering and learning to walk again. When he recovered and was able to go back to school, he earned his associate's degree. Before retiring, he worked at Zebra Technology in the shipping and receiving department and after retiring, he took some odd jobs helping around the community while helping raise his grandchildren and later his great-grandchildren. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping family and friends restore antique cars. He loved carpentry and making things for his wife, children, and grandchildren including doll houses, an outdoor log cabin, a ride-on airplane, lots of toys, furniture, and doll furniture throughout the years.

He was an amazing man and helped everyone he could, even if it meant giving the shirt off his back. He loved everyone like his own children, always hospitable when friends and family were in need. He also became a wonderful father figure for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment as grandpa or poppa and always proud of his role.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Humes) Belinski, with whom he shared fifty-nine wonderful years, sister Charlotte Diecker, brother Walter Belinski (Boe), daughter, Rhonda Dowding, grandchildren; Marissa and Kaylynn Manning, Douglas Davis, Cody, Ryan, and Justin Belinski, great-grandchildren; Alexis and Isabella Anzaldi, Dalton Knotts, Lucas and Kathryn Anzaldi. He was the father of the late Frank Joseph Belinski Jr.

To celebrate his life a private gathering for family and close friends will be held on Saturday March 14, 2026 at 12:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.
