Frank A. Bernabei, a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 89.
Frank was born July 2, 1935, in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Domenic and Julia Testa Bernabei.
On May 2, 1959, he was united in marriage to the former Sharon J. MacDonald. Together they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
A graduate of Mount Clemens High School, Frank served in the United States Army before returning home to open his real estate business first located on Wellington Crescent and later on Cass Ave, both in Mount Clemens. For over 50 years he was a well-known award-winning realtor. Community minded, he was a member and past president of the Secinarese Italian Club and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was also a longtime member of the Mount Clemens Rotary Club and received their highest award as a Paul Harris Fellow.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sharon, his children, Marie (Jaime) Vela, Pamela (John) Taras, Julie (David) Patrick, and Laurine (Chester) Taras. Frank was the proud grandfather of Alyssa (Joe), Julia, Natalie, Kristina, Brittanie (Evan), Danika, Alexis, Michael (Megan), Samantha and David. Tender branches were added to the family tree, with the addition of great grandchildren, Aria, Arthur, Collin, Anthony and Gianna. A brother Domenic (Nancy) Bernabei and sister Rosalie (the late Robert) Kehrig, nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Friday, January 3, 2025, he will lie in state at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens, Michigan from 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm the time of the mass. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
Contributions may be addressed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
