A. Frank Blume, age 65 of Montello passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at UW Hospital in Madison with his brother by his side. Frank was born in Chicago on April 4, 1960 to Alan and Patricia (Elming) Blume. He grew up in Rosemont, IL and graduated from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL; furthering his education at Southern Illinois University earning a bachelor’s degree in business. Frank along with his father operated the family business, J.L. Baldwin Conveyor Company until relocating to be close to the family farm in rural Montello in the early 1990’s. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and especially fishing. Frank always had strong ties to the family farm and enjoyed spending time with his family there.
Frank is survived by his brothers: David E Blume MD of Oregon and John R Blume of Montello and sister, Celeste Blume of Waukegan, IL along with three nieces: Brianna (Gene), Arielle and Talia and their mother, Heather Blume. He is also survived by two aunts: Nancy Blume and Carmen Blume as well as other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, aunt, Laurdene (Oliver) Guy and two uncles: William Blume and Richard Blume.
A Mass of Christian Burial for A. Frank Blume will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Father Savio Yerasani will preside and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 277 E. Montello Street, Montello, WI 53949.
