Frank Bondi Obituary

Frank Bondi, age 83, of Salem, WI, passed away peacefully at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Woodstock, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 21, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in the DePaul area on the north side. On July 18, 1965, he married his beloved wife, Judi at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Chicago. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of love and devotion.
Frank was a proud veteran of United States Marine Corps. He dedicated over 34 years of his career in sales to Edward Don & Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic and amiable nature. Frank was a licensed pilot and spent countless hours flying his Piper Archer across the country, often joined by his close friends and fellow members of the Sunbirds Flying Association. Frank was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed pheasant hunting and was a longtime member of the Artemis Sportsman's Club, as well as several other hunting organizations. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for Brittany Spaniels-he cared for many of these loyal dogs throughout his life, each one holding a special place in his heart. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Frank cheered on his team his whole life and got to see them win the world series. But above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, cherishing every moment shared with those closest to him. He will be remembered for his friendly spirit, devotion to his passions, and the kindness he shared with all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his wife: Judi Bondi, his two daughters: Sherry (Steve) Sliga of McHenry and Nancy Diamond of Ramona, California; his grandchildren: Derek, Devon and Lindsey Diamond; his brother Michael (Gloria) Bondi of San Marcos, California, as well as numerous cousins and extended relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Lena Panzica and Frank Bondi.
Services for Frank will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church 6301 344th Ave, New Munster, WI. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11am, with Mass at 11am. Frank will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery following the funeral mass.
