Frank J. Chylinski

Frank John Chylinski, 84, of Erie, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born in Erie on November 17, 1939, a son of the late, Frank John Chylinski, Sr. and Irene Priscilla (Lewandowski) Chylinski.
Frank attended St. Stanislaus and Cathedral Prep Class of 1957. After high school, he joined the US Marine Corps and served as a radio operator on the USS Mount McKinley. In 1962, after serving his country, he married his wonderful wife, Belle, and together they raised seven children and several foster children throughout the years. Frank started his working career in plastics as a press operator and worked his way up to many different executive positions. He enjoyed going to casinos and traveling many times to Las Vegas. He loved vacationing in Florida with his son and spending time with family at Virginia Beach. Frank also enjoyed his Friday nights with his good buddy Ron Cooper who passed away in 2021. Frank will be remembered most for being a hardworking and loving dad and husband.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Belle (Birt) Chylinski, children, Thomas Chylinski (Michelle), Christanne Haughwout, Nicolas Chylinski, Peter Chylinski (Nicole), AnnMarie Porter (Stewart), Timothy Chylinski (Courtney), and a foster daughter, Karen Giannamore (Mike), eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, sister, Shirley Chylinski, and nephew, Michael Samueloff.
Friends are invited to St. Joseph Church / Bread of Life Community on Friday, July 5th from 9 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 am. Inurnment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
