Frank Andrew DeAngelo, 82, of
Camarillo, California, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. Born in
Brooklyn, New York, Frank lived a life marked by resilience, curiosity, and a dedication to hard work.
In his youth, Frank proudly served in the United States Navy, carrying with him the discipline, responsibility, and sense of service that would shape the rest of his life. After completing his military service, he began his professional journey as a photocopier repairman, developing a talent for troubleshooting, precision, and technical craftsmanship.
Driven to grow and challenge himself, Frank transitioned into the world of computing, working on mainframe computers during a time of rapid change in the industry. His adaptability and determination became hallmarks of his career.
Years later, Frank embraced a new adventure when he opened The Great Steak & Hoagie Company in Camarillo. For 15 years, he proudly served the community-greeting customers with warmth, offering generous portions, and building a local gathering place that became a favorite for many.
Frank had a lifelong love of music, cherishing evenings spent listening to his favorite records on his treasured Bob Carver speakers. He also found great joy in driving his red 1971 Datsun 280Z, often taking it out simply for the pleasure of the open road.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Marilyn DeAngelo, who passed away on August 16, 2025. Their marriage was a partnership built on loyalty, humor, and decades of shared memories.
Frank is survived by his nieces Kristy Berg, Fran Lopez, Donna Reed, and Laura Jordan, who remember him for his kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit. His influence in their lives-and in the lives of all who knew him-will be forever cherished.
Frank's life was rich in hard work, passion, and simple joys. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
