Frank Derris

Frank Derris 1931 – 2025 Frank Derris (aka: Walter Frank Dereszynski Jr.), age 94 years, of Alameda California, died after a brief hospital stay at Oakland Kaiser on June 20, 2025. He was born in Detroit in 1931 to parents' Walter and Lillian Dereszynski. Frank served in the US Navy and was a member of the Machinist Union, working as an automotive mechanic during his career. Frank enjoyed camping, hunting, and was a member of the Redwood Bowman Archery Club in Oakland for many years. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Gail E. Derris (nee Steele), and brothers James, William, Richard and Gerald. Frank is survived by his daughter Shannon (Michael) Moltchanoff, his sons Frank N. Derris, Michael E.
