Frank DiMercurio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lee-Ellena Funeral Home on Aug. 8, 2025.
Frank Samuel DiMercurio, age 59, of Eastpointe, who grew up in Harper Woods, Michigan, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born to the late Frances and Carlo DiMercurio, Frank lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

For 28 years, Frank dedicated his career to EDS-HP, and later Michigan Medical and Cisco, where he worked as a project manager and built lasting friendships with his colleagues. His commitment and strong work ethic were matched only by his love for family and friends.

Frank's love story with Peggy began many years ago when they worked together at the Macomb Mall Cinema. It was there, in the place where their journey began, that Frank proposed, starting the next chapter of their life together.

On October 29, 1988, Frank married the love of his life, Peggy. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two sons, Michael and Stephen, and welcomed a daughter to the family when Michael married Leann. Frank was a proud and loving grandfather to Zara and Ada, and his joy in spending time with them and watching them grow was immeasurable. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Anne, and held a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews and his extended family. Frank shared an especially close bond with his cousins Carlo and Maria and his in-laws Christine and Dennis whom he considered more like siblings. His beloved Aunt Grace was a second mother to him and was always there for him.

Frank's zest for life was evident in the many passions he enjoyed. He loved fishing, usually while smoking a cigar, and was always up for bowling, playing euchre, or cheering on Detroit sports teams and his favorite college team, Notre Dame. He took pride in his yard work and enjoyed spending time in his garage and at the family cottage, where countless memories were made.

An enthusiastic collector of model cars and other keepsakes, Frank's home was filled with treasures and stories. He loved hosting friends and family, having bonfires, watching movies, and listening to his wide range of music.

Frank will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, his dedication to family and friends, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. His life was a true testament to love, friendship, and the importance of cherishing every moment.
