It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Frank Edward Ernest, born on September 24, 1961, in Reed City, MI. Known for being a generous, humble, and talented individual, Frank's resilience was a beacon of hope for everyone who had the privilege to share in his life. He was a man who genuinely embodied the phrase, "family over everything." His devotion to his children was unparalleled and served as a testament to his profound love and dedication.
Frank was a man who put others before himself. His open-door policy was a reflection of his generosity. There was always a couch for anyone in need, an extra plate of food on the table, and the warmth of his welcoming personality. He was more than just a friend or family member; he was a safe haven for anyone in need. His humble nature veiled a man of immense talent and strength. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This rings true for Frank, as he left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
Frank lived a life focused on others, but he also enjoyed personal success. A hardworking and dedicated individual, he retired after years of self-employed contractor service, his spirit of helping others never retired. He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer Ernest Jenkins (Elvis), Hope Ernest, Matthew Ernest (Nicole), Katherine Thompson, and Zachary Fick; his grandchildren, Elvis Jr & Emily Jenkins, Hanna Terpestra, Coleton, Maddi, & Nicolas Ernest, Aleigha, Tuesday, Mariah, & Abigale Thompson, Serenity Fick. Brother Buck Brown, Minnie (John) Grein, Ted Brown, Faith (Reese) Champagne, Joseph (Barb) Ernest. He has many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved and we're tremendously helpful throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosalie Ernest. He was a beacon of love, support, and resilience, and his legacy will continue to live through his children and everyone whose life he touched.
