Frank D. Fossa, 75, of Palmer Twp. passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 in his home surrounded by family. Born on April 18, 1949 in Englewood, NJ, he was the son of the late Bruno and Isabel (Guida) Fossa.
He graduated from Bergenfield High School in 1967 and enlisted in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge in 1977, he was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense. In his free time, he enjoyed playing computer war games. His treasured moments were spent with his family.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Virginia (Fenn) Fossa; son, Frank D. Fossa, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly of Forks Twp., PA; daughter, Stacey McGovern and her husband, John of St. Clare, PA; sisters, Donna Carmichael and her husband, George; Laurie Moffitt and her husband, Robert; brother, Daniel Fossa and his wife, Marion; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jack, and Ava Fossa.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at a later date. Please check back to our website for details. A sailor has passed away today. Frank, you are now relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The carrier has turned into the wind preparing for your final departure. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate.
