Francis "Frank" Joseph Furtado Jr. of N. Chelmsford, MA
Frank J. Furtado, 86, of N. Chelmsford, MA died Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Westford House Nursing Home. He was the husband of Ann (DeSimone) Furtado with whom he would have celebrated their 59TH wedding anniversary on October 8th, 2025.
Born in Dracut, MA, he was a son of the late Frank and Julia (Pilch) Furtado. He attended and graduated from St. Stanislaus Grammar School in 1953. He graduated from Keith Academy with the class of 1957, and later attended Franklin Technical Institute Achieving an Associate's Degree in Engineering.
Frank and his wife Ann owned and operated the Leon Hair Stylist in Bedford MA, until his retirement in 2002. Frank also founded and was President and CEO of the Genesis Group, a business management company, with an office in Bedford, MA.
He loved hunting, fishing, ballroom dancing, cruising and travelling with his wife, Ann. Frank was a member of the Lowell Sportsman Club in N. Chelmsford. He also served five years in the US Air Force reserves.
Frank was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church where he was an active member helping at Bingo and serving as an usher.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Marlene and Dennis Langlois of Lowell, MA; a granddaughter, Alexi Johnstone of Tyngsboro, MA; his great grandson Logan Thomas; his sister-in-law, Julie Furtado of Dracut, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Johnstone who died June 19, 2007, and his siblings: Sr. Mary Cornelia, a Felician Nun, Marion Yonge, and brother Edward Furtado. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Frank Furtado, please visit our Tree Store.
