Frank "Koogie" S. Garrou, age 66, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. Frank was born in Chicago, IL, on July 21, 1958, to the late Frank S. and Patricia A. (Hickey) Garrou.
Frank moved to the Tomahawk area in his childhood and was a 1976 graduate of the Tomahawk High School. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Following his honorable discharge, Frank moved to Texas for a few years before returning to Tomahawk where he worked in construction; a job he truly loved. He later worked at Harley-Davidson for many years, retiring in 2012. Frank stayed busy after retirement with construction projects. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved tending to his chickens and ducks. His favorite pastime was socializing at Holly's where he had a great group of friends.
Survivors include his sons, Shane Garrou and Ethan Garrou; his brothers, John (Denise) Garrou, Robert (Joy) Garrou, and Gerald Garrou; his sister, Jeannette (John) DuPlayee; and his brother-in-law, Rick Burnett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Patricia; his son, Frank Garrou; and his sister, Debra Burnett.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Generations Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM, with Military Honors beginning at 6:45 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
